Este documento contiene el cuestionario utilizado en la primera fase del estudio, las versiones del cuestionario para el entrevistado principal, el cónyuge, el informante sustituto del entrevistado principal y el informante sustituto del cónyuge. En cada pregunta se han incluído los nombres de las variables disponibles en el banco de datos.
This document contains the first wave questionnaire, its versions, including: the target interview, the spouse interview, the proxy-target interview and the proxy-spouse interview. For each question the variable name in the database was included.

Antes de utilizar este archivo lea la Introducción al Libro de Códigos más arriba. Para cada una de las variables en la base de datos se presenta la siguiente información: nombre de la variable, etiqueta de la variable, posición en la base de datos, texto de la pregunta correspondiente del cuestionario, tipo de variable, tamaño de la variable, valores ausentes o missing values, códigos y etiquetas utilizados, distribución de frecuencias y comentarios, esto último para algunas variables complejas. La distribución de frecuencias no se presenta para aquellas variables que tienen más de 20 categorías, excepto en el caso de algunas variables de importancia como la edad del entrevistado.
Before using this file read the Introduction to the Codebook above. For each one of the variables in the database there is the following information: name of the variable, label of the variable, position in the database, text of the corresponding question in the questionnaire, type of variable, size of variable, missing values, codes and labels used, and distribution of frequencies and commentaries, the latter for some complex variables. The distribution of frequencies does not arise in those variables that have more than 20 categories, except in the case of variables of importance such as the age of the interviewee.

Report on results using questions eliciting symptoms
El cuestionario de PREHCO 1 incluye una serie de preguntas sobre síntomas usadas en la praáctica clínica para investigar la presencia o ausencia de algunos de ellos que pueden sugerir la existencia de ciertas enfermedades crónicas. El propósito que se perseguía era determinar si las respuestas obtenidas estaban relacionadas con las enfermedades crónicas autoreportadas. Igualmente se trataba de analizar si las respuestas podrían sugerir la presencia de alguna condición crónica no informada.
PREHCO 1 questionnaire contains a battery of questions extracted from clinical practice to inquire about the presence/absence of symptoms that may indicate the existence of certain chronic conditions. The idea was to determine whether or not the responses to these questions were related to self-responses about medically diagnosed chronic conditions. We also wanted to investigate individuals whose responses to the questions about symptoms suggested the presence of a chronic conditions but who had not self-reported it.
